How It Works

After your order is placed, Nifty City sends the software update and installation instructions digitally.

You will need to purchase and provide your own compatible SD card for the update. No SD card or physical product is included with this purchase.

1. Purchase a compatible SD card.
2. Download the software files we provide.
3. Load the files onto your SD card.
4. Insert the SD card into your GT-R’s factory SD card slot.
5. Follow the included update instructions.
6. Wired Apple CarPlay will be added to your factory main menu.

Wired Apple CarPlay

This SD Card Upgrade adds Wired Apple CarPlay to your Nissan GT-R’s factory infotainment system.

Connect a compatible iPhone by USB to access Apple CarPlay through the factory screen. Apple CarPlay supports compatible navigation, music, podcast, messaging, calling, and voice-control apps from your iPhone.

Common compatible CarPlay apps may include:

App availability depends on the customer’s iPhone, region, and the individual app’s Apple CarPlay compatibility. The iPhone charges while connected through the wired Apple CarPlay connection.

The Apple CarPlay SD Card Upgrade adds Wired Apple CarPlay to your factory GT-R system. Add the Nifty Box to upgrade your experience with Wireless Apple CarPlay, Wireless Android Auto, and a full Android-powered platform.

The Nifty Box connects through both USB ports in the GT-R armrest and adds:

Unlike Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, the Nifty Box does not rely solely on the apps installed on your phone. It has its own Android operating system and internal storage, allowing compatible apps to be downloaded and run directly from the Nifty Box.

For streaming, downloads, and online apps, the Nifty Box requires an internet connection through a phone hotspot, compatible Wi-Fi network, or cellular-data setup.
