Nifty City Digital Clusters can work independatley without the need of any additional products. The Digital Cluster has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto built in, however, the option to sync the digital cluster with a Tesla Screens, is available (MK2 and MK7 Tesla Screen models).

Example: If you have a MK7 Infiniti Q50 Tesla Screen, you may push the Apple CarPlay maps visuals, to the Digital Cluster and see the maps on the Digital Cluster (The same thing that's hapenning on the screen), or, you can connect to the Built-In Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

If you also own the MK2 or MK7 Tesla Screens..
Syncing between the Tesla Screen and Digital Cluster will be via a HDMI cable. If you are streaming a movie, that movie will also sync onto the Digital Cluster.
